Credit where it’s due. BBC Introducing stage at T in the Park 2013 means we can all enjoy live clips without enduring the downsides of festival antics. WARNING! Contains a link to Fat Goth playing TITP.
Long after the campsite has cleared and Summer fades into distant memory, T in the Park 2013 will have played host to two stages of unsigned Scottish artists whose live clips will be watched on the web.
Given how Scotland regularly punches above its weight in terms of producing decent new bands, we don’t have to be put off by the unsigned tag. Many of these bands have already received national press and tour as much as a shoe-string budget will allow.
With indie record labels in decline and DIY being the only option for most artists, the word unsigned has never been as deceitful or misleading.
The ‘BBC introducing’ stage is present at many UK festivals. It provides not only an opportunity to play the event but also have the band’s set professionally recorded with video clips available on the BBC website.
BBC Introducing stage at T in the Park 2013 already has a selection of live performances online with more of the weekend’s artists soon to be added including Fat Goth. There’s a wide variety of acts to watch and it’s well worth your time.
You never know when the next Franz Ferdinand or Chvrches will suddenly pop out!
